Such a wonderful weekend at the Shorinryu-Shorinkan South African National Championships this weekend. 🥋
An ice breaker Competition for all of my students and a big one for their first time competing. 👊
Saku Dojo took away 1 gold🏅, 2 silvers 🥈🥈 and 2 bronze medals🥉🥉.
We also took away a heap of learnings, experience and memories and I could not be prouder of my students. I’m so excited to see them continue to grow.
Just putting oneself out there takes courage on its own and I can honestly say to all my students that you are all inspiring.

Sometimes being a sensei means needing help from others… while I’m off on maternity leave i can rest assured that these kiddos are in the best hands possible!

When you’re 39 weeks and 3 days pregnant but you’re also a sensei … the journey doesn’t stop but these kiddies make it easy to be present and even a surprise baby party before baba arrives in the next few days!! 🤗
Can’t wait to see some yellow belts on these kids end of the month. 🥋👊
