This week, the world is talking about CPR and as a swimming school, this one hits close to home.

Most drowning incidents happen within arm's reach of an adult. Not because they weren't watching but because they didn't know what to do.

This week, we're asking every One With Water family to take one step:
• Look up a CPR course near you, they take less than a day.
• Know the water safety rules around your home.
• Never leave a child unattended near water. Not even for a minute.

Swimming lessons reduce the risk. CPR knowledge can save a life. Together, they're everything.

Welcome to June, One With Water family!

Winter is officially here and while the rest of Johannesburg is hiding under blankets, our pool is heated, our coaches are ready and your little one's progress doesn't have to pause for a single day.

Whether you're a familiar face or thinking about joining us for the first time, June is a wonderful time to start.

Smaller classes. More focus. Real results.

Did you know?

Teaching kids to swim isn't just about getting from one end of the pool to the other. It's about building the right foundations from the start.

Here are a few things our coaches focus on that make all the difference:
• Kicking from the hips — not the knees. It's the most common mistake and the first thing we fix.

• Breathing rhythm — learning to exhale underwater is a game changer for confident, relaxed swimming.

• Fingertip entry — a clean hand entry reduces drag and sets up a powerful stroke before they even know what drag means.

• Core engagement — a strong, flat body position in the water makes everything else easier.

Small techniques. Big results. And a whole lot of fun getting there.

Dear parents, this one's for you.

We know the schedule is full. And adding one more activity feels like a lot.

But swimming isn't just another extra mural.

It's a life skill. A safety skill. And one of the greatest gifts you can give your child.

Children who learn to swim early are safer, more confident and better equipped to handle the unexpected.

That's worth making time for.

The Side Effects of Swimming 💙

Here's something that will make your heart happy.

Research shows that children who swim regularly have better coordination, sleep more deeply and are more confident in social situations than non-swimmers.

One swimming lesson does so much more than teach a child to swim.

It teaches them to be brave. To try something hard. To trust themselves and the people cheering them on from the side of the pool.

That's what every lesson at One With Water is really about.

Watch this and try not to smile. 😄

There is something incredibly special about the moment a child realises they can actually do it.

The stroke clicks.

The breathing clicks. And suddenly they're not just swimming, they're flying.

This is what lessons at One With Water look like. Real kids. Real progress. Real joy.

And it happens every single day in our pool.

PSA: winter is actually the best time to keep swimming.

Fewer kids, warmer water, faster progress and a swimmer who hits spring already ahead of the game.

If your child can’t swim yet… this is what most parents don’t realise.

It’s not just about swimming. It’s about survival skills, awareness and confidence in and around water.

Most accidents happen quickly and quietly and that’s why early water exposure matters so much.

Swimming lessons give children more than a skill… they give them instincts that can save their life one day.

It’s never “too early” to start. It’s only later that parents wish they started sooner.

Today is International Water Safety Day. 💙
And as a swim school, this one means everything to us.

Drowning is one of the leading causes of accidental death in children and it is almost entirely preventable. Teaching your child to swim isn't just a skill. It's one of the most important gifts you can give them.
If your little one isn't swimming yet, today is the day to change that.
