As I stand at the threshold of the approaching year, I find myself reflecting on the projects that lie ahead, each woven with threads from a heart that beats for purpose.
In the realm of late-night presentations and sleep-deprived hours, I've been called out, not for complaint but acknowledgment. A colleague's words lingered, "Your heart is immense." Another found joy in the simple icebreakers, aligning us to the mission. Yet, that night, crafting the presentation until 2 am, I felt the weight of tired bones. Not a lament, but a realization β a moment of intentional self-awareness.
2024 beckons, and I am purposefully saying no, not just to external demands but to the ceaseless whispers within. Cutting down on endeavors that sap energy without reciprocating the alignment to my vision and goals. A conscious shift from doing everything to doing what matters.
It's the subtle art of canceling, of parking things for a later day. Because, in this pursuit of perfection and love, there's a line where it becomes a twilight dance, a struggle between passion and practicality.
So, I pose a question to you as the year turns its page: What are you cutting loose next year? What sacrifices made in the name of love and perfection have left you burning the midnight oil? What dreams do you want to pursue without finding yourself in the relentless grip of sleeplessness?
In 2024, the canvas I paint will be with strokes of love and intention. Work will be a joyful journey, and the nights will be for restful dreams. Here's to a year of purposeful choices and dreams that align with the beating of our hearts. May you find your rhythm and dance to the music of your aspirations. π«
