Wicked feature by Double Apex on the Corolla! Go give them a follow! 😁

We take a closer look at a budget racer that competes in local endurance racing, bought, built and maintained by a group of petrolhead buddies.

Gutted. This wasn’t how we were hoping the day would pan out. Unfortunately the engine has let go on us and there’s no viable way of getting it back up and running in the allotted time.

We are so sorry to all our fans and supporters who have been so wonderful in the build up to this race; we love you all and truly appreciate all the love you have shown us. This is just one of those motorsport things; it doesn’t always go to plan and no matter how hard you prepare and try avoid catastrophic failures, they can still blind-side you.

We were truly feeling so positive about putting in a good showing for our sponsors, Toyota GAZOO South Africa and Hestico. We’re sorry guys.

Team Tofuhunters qualified “well”, posting a fast 2:30.704. But that’s only good enough for 14th in class, and 29th overall, placing us decidedly mid-pack. The top 30 cars are separated by 0.78 seconds 😳 it’s going to be crazy out there.

The race starts at 10:15 SA time (GMT +2); link in our bio.

Thanks to Toyota GAZOO South Africa and Hestico for getting us here.

Raceday TV cornered Raymond and questioned his use of cable ties and inappropriate language. This year's SafariProjek 9hrs of Jozi will be streamed live! We will share the link nearer the time.
