Get to know your Coach!
I am Lezandri Zandberg, otherwise known as Coach Lizzy to all my fantastic wrestlers. 🤼‍♀️💪

I’ve been part of the wrestling community for over 16 years. I started wrestling at the age of 8 due to low muscle tone, and from day one I completely fell in love with this incredible sport.

I competed for 11 years before transitioning into coaching because of an injury. During my competitive years, I earned numerous medals — including being a 14-time South African Champion and a Junior Protea wrestler, proudly representing our beautiful country overseas. 🇿🇦🏆

Since becoming a coach, I’ve continued to grow by completing multiple coaching courses every year to better myself for my wrestlers. I’ve also completed various first aid courses to ensure I can always assist if needed.

Today, I live for coaching my amazing, upcoming champions. I work hard to make every lesson fun, structured, and meaningful. Most importantly, I make sure every wrestler knows they are strong, courageous, capable — and precious to me. ❤️

There is nothing more rewarding than watching each child grow in confidence, skill, and character — showing up on the mat ready to prove who they are.

I truly love what I do. And I wouldn’t trade it for anything. 🏆✨
