What a final! What a comeback! What a championship victory!

Team South Africa have been crowned U19 All Africa Champions 2026 following a thrilling three-game final against Algeria that kept spectators and supporters on the edge of their seats.

SA endured a difficult opening game, falling 42–55 to Algeria. However, the team responded with determination and composure, fighting back to claim a 55–49 victory in the second game and force a deciding match for the championship title.

With gold on the line, Team SA came out firing! 🔥🇿🇦 The South Africans took control of the deciding game, dictated the pace and won the crucial rallies to secure a commanding 55–41 victory, sealing the championship title and claiming All Africa Championship gold! 🥇🏆

Adding to this incredible achievement, our very own Chloe and Layla from the Wanderers Badminton Club represented South Africa at the games! We are incredibly proud of our young talent and their excellent performances at this high level. Representing their country on the continental stage is a fantastic achievement, and they have certainly given the Wanderers community plenty of reason to celebrate!

Congratulations to Team SA, and a special shout-out to Chloe and Layla. What a way to finish, and what a proud moment for South African badminton! 🇿🇦👏
