"What do I get, and what does it cost?"

A confidential space to work through what's actually going on — no judgment, no performance required.

Together we build a recovery plan around your values and goals, then work on the tools that make it stick:

→ Managing triggers, cravings, and relapse risk
→ Emotional regulation and boundary setting
→ Communication, decision-making, and stress management
→ Reconnecting with your values and sense of purpose
→ Building your "recovery capital" — the people, community, and resources that hold you up

This isn't therapy. It's forward-focused — less about why you ended up here, more about where you're going next.

"What does it cost?"

One free intro conversation, then six focused sessions (weekly or biweekly). Average cost: R3000 for the full contract — a reduced rate, and every plan is discussed and agreed on upfront, since no two people need the same thing.

I also run group coaching as part of a facilitation team, backed by professional case management — message me if that's relevant for you, your team, or your clients.

While the focus is recovery, the same approach applies to general life management and any behaviour pattern that's holding you back — because ultimately, all of this work is about building a life that works.

I'm a certified recovery coach supporting people through addiction, alcohol misuse, and life management challenges — backed by professional case management through We-Do, MAUNI, and U-ACT.

The "Successful" Man's Golden Cage

To the outside world, you've won. You've built a career, a business, or an income that most men only dream of. You handle the pressure, you provide, and on paper, everything looks locked in.

So why do you feel like you're suffocating?

For years, high-performing men carry a secret tax:

The Nice Guy Tax: Walking on eggshells, caretaking everyone around you, saying "yes" when every fibre of your being screams "no" — out of fear, obligation, and guilt. Do you even know who you are underneath it?

The Burnout Tax: Trading 70-hour weeks of low-margin hustle for a life where work cannibalizes your health, your relationships, and your freedom.

The Coping Tax: When the pressure of wearing the mask becomes too heavy, the mind looks for an escape hatch — bad habits, acting out, hidden addictions, or quiet isolation.

You don't need another pep talk or a checklist of rules dictated by society. You need a new structure. You need to know what you actually want. You need a plan.

True masculine sovereignty isn't about doing what's expected of you or surviving the grind — it's about building a life where your income funds your freedom, your boundaries are an ironclad moat, and your time is entirely your own.

I work with men who are done managing the mask and ready to rebuild the architecture underneath it — through 1:1 and group coaching, backed by professional case management through We-Do, MAUNI, and U-ACT.

If this is you, send me a message. Let's talk.

What Does Ethical Coaching Actually Look Like?

When high-performing leaders face burnout, behavioural loops, or a crumbling life-management structure, they are often at their most vulnerable. In high-stakes coaching, navigating this terrain requires more than just good intentions—it demands rigorous, uncompromised ethical guardrails.

Here is what true professional integrity looks like in recovery coaching at the executive level:

• Clear Scope & Boundaries: Ethical coaches stay in their lane. They distinguish coaching from clinical therapy or medical treatment, explicitly stating their training and limitations while facilitating warm handoffs when clinical intervention is required.

• Ironclad Confidentiality: Leaders carry immense professional and social risk. Ethical practice enforces absolute discretion, creating a secure environment where vulnerability never turns into a liability.

• Supervision & Case Management Oversight: A truly ethical practice does not operate in a vacuum. Professional supervision and peer case management oversight ensure that the coach maintains objectivity, checks their own blind spots, and holds the highest standard of care.

• Non-Pathologizing Autonomy: Rather than acting as an infallible "guru" or parental fixer, an ethical coach fosters true self-agency—challenging self-deception and behavioural loops without resorting to toxic shame.

• Ecological Pacing: Burnout cannot be "disciplined" away through sheer force. Ethical recovery respects nervous system limits, prioritizing sustainable pacing and safety over hollow, high-pressure hustle.

The ultimate goal of ethical coaching isn't short-term compliance or dependency; it is the client's long-term sovereignty and sustainable self-mastery.
📌I coach people who are struggling with a variety of issues related to modern living, including building a life of meaning and purpose, increasing personal resilience, and overcoming behaviours that may be causing them some trouble.

We also offer group coaching following a structured wellness programme, the group coaching sessions. All our coaching is overseen by professional case management structures, supported by the organizations of We-Do, MAUNI, & U-ACT.

Are you interested in a pathway to recovery, and a better quality of life?

We hear about lots of different paths to recovery these days—12 steps, therapy, faith based, mindfulness…but the truth is, there isn’t just one road that works for everyone.

I would like to introduce you to the WRP — the “Wellness & Resilience Programme”

WRP isn’t about labels or telling people what they “should” be doing. It’s about helping you understand yourself, building strength in mind and body, and developing the resilience to handle life without needing to escape it.

A Professionally Governed Community
What makes WRP unique is our multi-layered approach to support. You aren't just assigned a single person; you are backed by a team of experienced facilitators and a vibrant ecosystem of students, clients, and coaches.

To ensure the highest standard of care, our program includes:

Dedicated Case Management: Ensuring your individual journey is tracked, supported, and adjusted to your specific needs.

Clinical Supervision: Our coaches and facilitators undergo regular professional supervision, ensuring that the guidance you receive is ethical, effective, and evidence-based.

We look at things like:
• Understanding triggers and the reward system
• Building emotional awareness and intelligence
• Problem-solving real-life challenges with a "Healthy Adult" mindset
• Strengthening community and social support
• Learning practical tools that actually work in the real world

The Structure:
We spend 8 to 10 weeks building your foundation (meeting 3 times a week), followed by an optional 10 months of ongoing community support to ensure your new habits take deep root.

Because real change doesn’t come from being told what to do… it comes from learning how to live differently alongside a professional team and a community that truly "gets it."

Sometimes the path forward isn’t about fixing what’s broken… it’s about creating a new foundation and building the life you actually want to live.

The WRP is suitable for those who suspect they may be struggling with addiction, problematic behaviours, life management issues, or even those who are interest in self development.

For enquiries, you are welcome to send me a message, or you can email me: [email protected]

*the WRP is an initiative of We Do based in the United Kingdom, supported by MAUNI & U-ACT. .

The Foundation Clinic in Johannesburg is frequently cited as a top choice for addiction recovery due to its long-standing reputation, unique "systemic" treatment philosophy, and high user ratings (4.9/5 stars).

🟠 Key reasons it is considered a leading facility in 2026 include:

🔹 Pioneering Systemic Approach. Unlike traditional 12-step programs, the clinic utilizes an internationally recognized Systemic Recovery Coaching model. This approach looks beyond individual symptoms to address the relationships and environments that impact sustainable recovery.

🔹Diverse Treatment Modalities. Programs integrate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), adult education, and a bio-psycho-social framework. This multifaceted approach aims to build "recovery capital"—the personal and social resources needed for long-term sobriety.

🔹Comprehensive Continuum of Care: The clinic offers a full spectrum of services, including:
Medical Detox: Registered with the Departments of Health and Social Development for safe, supervised withdrawal.
Inpatient Programs: Residential stays typically starting at 21 to 30 days.
Extensive Aftercare: A unique 12-month outpatient and reintegration program is available to ensure ongoing support after discharge.

🔹Expert Team with Lived Experience: The multidisciplinary staff includes psychologists, social workers, 24-hour nursing, and internationally-certified recovery coaches, many of whom have their own personal experience with recovery.

🔹Accessibility and Transparency: The clinic is contracted to all major medical aids. They also provide free confidential pre-admission assessments and information sessions to help families make informed choices.

🔹Holistic, Dignity-Focused Environment: Former clients highlight the clinic's "adult-to-adult" treatment style, noting that it avoids the rigid, disciplinary atmosphere common in other facilities. The facility itself is described as a tranquil, "tropical" setting that promotes healing.

🟠 For further details or to book an assessment, you can visit The Foundation Clinic's website:

The Foundation Clinic has been offering substance use and addiction treatment, and recovery programmes, since 2001. The clinic's focus is on creating sustainable, meaningful recovery. The clinic offers detox, inpatient, reintergation & outpatient programmes, and is fully licensed.

Here’s a book that I can recommend if you are interested in issues affecting men and boys in our modern age. It’s packed with information, a book that I will read more than once.

Here’s a pretty good synopsis:

"Of Boys and Men: Why the Modern Male Is Struggling, Why It Matters, and What to Do About It" is a non-fiction book by Richard V. Reeves that explores the challenges faced by boys and men in modern society. The book is divided into three main parts, examining the struggles of boys and men in education, employment, and mental health, and proposing practical solutions to address these issues.

🟢 Key Takeaways:

Educational Attainment: Boys are falling behind girls in education, with women now earning almost 60% of bachelor's degrees in the United States. This trend is alarming because educational attainment is closely linked to future economic stability and personal development.
Economic Challenges: Men are facing significant economic challenges, including declining job opportunities and wages, particularly for those without college degrees. The shift from manufacturing to service-oriented jobs has left many men struggling to adapt.
Mental Health: Men are more likely to struggle with mental health issues, including depression and anxiety, and are less likely to seek help. This can lead to increased rates of substance abuse and su***de.
Changing Family Dynamics: The traditional role of men in the family is evolving, and many men are struggling to adapt to new expectations and responsibilities.

🔴 Solutions:

Reforming Education: Reeves suggests that boys might benefit from being "redshirted"
starting school a year later than girls - to account for differences in developmental pace.
Promoting Positive Masculinity: Reeves argues for promoting a positive and inclusive definition of masculinity that encourages men to be nurturing, empathetic, and involved parents.
Supporting Male Mental Health: Reeves advocates for increased support for male mental health, including more resources for counseling and therapy.

🔵 Reception:

"Of Boys and Men" has received positive reviews for its nuanced and evidence-based approach to understanding the challenges faced by boys and men. The book has been praised for its thought-provoking analysis and bold policy suggestions, and has sparked important conversations about masculinity, education, and economic opportunity.
