Our Story

Halcyon Life and Sports Coaching is a business born of passion and dedication to the improvement of people as individuals and developing excellence in every aspect of their lives - personal, business and on the sports field.

Leigh-Ann Harvey is a specialist sports, life and business coach with first-hand experience of reaching personal excellence as a synchronised swimming champion. Initially representing Natal in junior school competitions, Leigh-Ann went on to represent South Africa between 1993 and 1998 in many impressive tournaments in the UK, Egypt, Germany and Australia. Leigh-Ann was a winner and consummate achiever at this incredibly difficult and highly disciplined, team sport.

This was her solid background to understanding the mindset of winning and the vital importance of working as a team to produce highly successful results. It also installed a passion to work with others in attaining their personal goals and being the best they can be.

Leigh-Ann obtained her sports science degree in 2002 and her journey of personal growth, doing and working with personal growth and development workshops, Life Coaching and the study of human behaviour continued until she made the decision to merge her passion for sports and sports training and 10 years of human behaviour training and Life Coaching into a business that would focus primarily Sports Performance Coaching and Mindset Coaching

I have a degree in Sports science and more than a dozen years under the belt of studying and improving human behaviour

My programs are pro-active, inter-active and fully engage with individuals and teams alike

My programs can change the mindset of athletes resigned to losing and drive them on to win even when they 'Hit the wall!'

The services we provide

We have four primary services that we provide which we like to call our '4 pillars of personal growth'. They are:

Sports Performance Coaching - Due to Leigh-Ann’s passion for sports and personal experience as an award winning athlete, Sports Performance Coaching is Halcyon’s primary service, focussed on developing and maintaining a positive mindset in every athlete in all individual or team sports.

Life Coaching - Just as we are coached in the lessons we learn, the sports we play and the careers we choose, so should we be coached in the challenges that life places before us.
Halcyon has excellent Life Coaching that turns defeated individuals with limiting self beliefs to inspirational results driven achievers!

Engage and Grow – We at Halcyon are proud to work with the franchise holder in South Africa, Andre Van Rooyen, an Action Coach, in this excellent international program. Successful in over 70 countries, Engage and Grow teaches employees to be more effective as they become more engaged in the workplace.

Team Building – As a synchronized swimming champion I became acutely aware of the essential function of working as a team. This well designed Team Building program ensures we will have your work team pulling together and operating as a well oiled machine in no time!
