Good morning, everyone.

This morning started early, around 5:00 AM, thanks to some serious thunder rolling through. Once my dog (Mr. Brown) had been thoroughly comforted and bundled back to sleep, I was up and noticed a surreal shift in the weather.

It looked less like our usual sunny South Africa and more like a moody English morning, with sheet rain and deep clouds. But then, the classic South African sun decided to put on a show. Peeking through the storm clouds, I spotted a tiny rainbow over the horizon.

I quickly drove to The Golf Place overlooking FuBar and The Local Kitchen, bolted up the stairs with my tripod and camera, and fought the rain for a few precious seconds. The rainbow had by now all but disappeared, and one ray of light piercing the dark sky was worth the sprint. This is it!
