Yoga increases both stability and mobility, strengthening core, lower and upper body in a balanced way. It enhances stamina, improves respiratory capacity and vigour, resulting in greater confidence, composure and mental focus. It’s ideal for those who may not be physically active right now, as well as those who are fit and involved in other activities, but for example want more flexibility. Iyengar Yoga specifically involves sustained focus on precision and correct alignment, involving the use of props that enable each student to practice optimally at his own level with low risk of injury.
