Zumba® Kids and Zumba® Kids Jr. inspire kids to express themselves through movement and play while effectively improving their overall health and well-being. or kids age 4- 6 and 7-11 years old. These programs appeal to children who are currently active in sports but also children that are not necessarily attracted to traditional physical activities. Students will enjoy these rockin’, high-energy dance parties packed with specially choreographed, kid-friendly routines and all the music kids love like hip-hop, reggaeton, cumbia and more. The goal of Zumba® Kids and Zumba® Kids Jr. program are to provide children with a positive experience with fitness. The Benefits Zumba® Kids and Zumba® Kids Jr. Classes have on children are:
• Physical and Health Development through increased activity both cardio and toning.
• Cognitive Development through increase brain cell growth (neurogenesis), memory, dexterity, attention and concentration.
• Social Development through playing games, encouraging each other in a positive environment.
• Psychology - higher self-esteem, self-image, confidence, resiliency, decreased anxiety and improved mood/outlook. The goal of the Zumba® Kids and Zumba® Kids Jr. classes are to develop a healthy lifestyle and to incorporate fitness as a natural part of children’s lives, not just as a class they attend once a week. When teaching kids, we don’t focus on the physical activity aspect as much as the “fun” aspect to keep them engaged in the class. While physical activity is indeed a very important element of childhood development, Zumba® Kids and Zumba® Kids Jr. also considers other facets of the child’s development including:
