Rory Taylor has been the steady hand behind so much of what makes the Saints Rowing Club special. Whether coordinating volunteers, managing the organised chaos of Sports Fest, ensuring our regatta ran seamlessly in pouring rain, or even racing through festival traffic to deliver essential stamps to a gate in need, Rory has always stepped up with unwavering commitment, remarkable organisational skill, and a great sense of humour.
As Chairman, umpire, problem-solver, and champion of our rowing community, he has worn countless hats with humility and dedication. Together with Jules, he has also given the club three wonderful children who have each left their own mark on Saints Rowing.
Rory, thank you for the countless hours, the calm leadership, and the legacy you leave behind. Your contribution has helped shape the culture and success of our club, and we are incredibly grateful. From every athlete, coach, parent and volunteer—thank you. Your legacy is woven into the fabric of Saints Rowing. Wishing you and your family fair winds as your next chapter begins. 💙🚣

*U23 Rowing World Championships*

Brigitte Kappler (2022) was selected to compete at the U23 World Champs, this past weekend, through a new Performance Pathway catering to the athletes who have followed their dreams of studying and rowing overseas. B currently studies and rows at University of Central Florida where she has been part of their phenomenal team. With multiple regional titles and an honourable selection into the Top 12 team, B has grown into a fierce competitor.

B and her crew placed 6th overall in the u23 Woman’s Coxless Four! An exciting result considering the crew had only trained together for a month before racing against the best in the world.

As Saints rowing, we are beyond proud of your achievements over the past season and look forward to watching your journey onwards. ❤️🤍💙

Thank you One and All for such a spirited day on the water.
