SUPINE 90–90 : A SIMPLE RESET FOR THE LOWER BACK

Sometimes the most effective thing you can do is simply allow the body to relax.

The Supine 90–90 position is designed to unload the muscles around the lower back & reduce tension through the lumbar spine.

With the legs supported and the hips & knees positioned at approximately 90°, the body can settle into a relaxed, symmetrical position.

Hold for 3–10 minutes, or as needed.

A simple position, but a useful one to have in your toolkit.

Some days your body is ready to lift heavier.
Some days it needs to move, stretch, recover or simply clear your mind.

The important thing is to keep showing up & choose the type of movement that supports where you are today.

Whether it’s a strength session, cardio, mobility work or taking time to recover, every step contributes to your overall health & wellbeing.

Listen to your body. Move with purpose. Stay consistent.

Because the best workout isn’t always the hardest one, it’s the one your body needs today.

Strength isn’t always about movement, sometimes it’s about staying still.

According to the American Council on Exercise, isometric exercises strengthen muscles by creating tension without changing the length of the muscle or moving the joint. These static holds help build muscular endurance, improve joint stability, enhance posture & develop a stronger, more resilient core.

Emerging research also suggests that regular isometric training may support heart health by helping to lower resting blood pressure, making it a valuable addition to a well-rounded fitness programme alongside regular strength & cardiovascular exercise.

Whether you’re holding a squat, wall sit, plank or side plank, your muscles are working continuously to resist movement. Focus on good alignment, controlled breathing & quality technique, because sometimes the biggest gains come from holding steady.

Hold strong. Build stability. Move better.

Lunges are more than just a leg exercise, they’re a functional movement that helps your body move better every day💫

ACE recognises lunges as one of the fundamental movement patterns because they develop strength, balance, coordination & stability all at once.

Whether you’re stepping forward, backward, walking or performing a stationary lunge, you’re challenging each leg individually while strengthening your glutes, quadriceps, hamstrings & core💪🏼

Benefits of lunges include:
•Improved lower-body strength
•Better balance and stability
•Increased core engagement
•Correction of left-to-right strength imbalances
•Enhanced coordination and functional movement
•Support for healthy hips, knees and ankles

Remember: quality always comes before quantity. Focus on controlled movement, good posture & proper alignment with every repetition.

Move with purpose. Move with strength.

Core strength is about so much more than visible abs.

According to ACE, your core is the foundation for balance, posture, stability & efficient movement.

A strong, well-conditioned core helps improve everyday function, enhances exercise performance & supports a healthier spine.

Train for strength, stability & control.
The results extend far beyond your workout.

Back health starts with a strong, stable core💫

These four exercises are commonly recommended to improve spinal stability, mobility and muscular endurance. Performed with proper technique, they can help build the muscles that support your spine and contribute to better posture and movement.

Remember: move with control, breathe throughout each exercise, and prioritise good technique over speed or repetitions.

Exercises based on principles from the American Council on Exercise (ACE) for core function and spinal stability.
