The weekend was a powerful reminder that fitness is more than movement, it can be a vehicle for service, connection and witness. On Sabbath, Team Adventist Athletics Club Gauteng took the message of “Fitness for Witnessing” to Dinwiddie SDA, joining the church community for a Health Day centred on wellness and meaningful connection. It was an opportunity to demonstrate how an active lifestyle can open doors for fellowship, service and outreach.

On Sunday the roads came alive. Across Berlin (Germany) and Cape Town (South Africa), Team Adventist Athletics Club members laced up, pinned on their race numbers and took to the streets, proudly representing the club wherever their feet carried them. Meanwhile, in Lesotho, others tackled the breathtaking yet demanding Lisiu Pass, trading city streets for dramatic mountain terrain and high-altitude roads.

Heritage Day was never going to be just another day on the calendar. Across different cities, roads and race routes, Team Adventist Athletics Club was out there moving, serving, connecting and making its presence felt. But somewhere along the long road from Memel to Newcastle in KZN one athlete had a different story to tell. Sakhile Nkosi delivered yet another remarkable performance at the Evotel Memel to Newcastle 52KM Ultra Run/Walk, digging deep to claim an impressive 2nd-place podium finish! Well done Sakhile. Team Adventist Athletics Club Gauteng took on the ABSA Run Your City Joburg, but the mission went beyond the finish line as members ran, connected with fellow runners and distributed literature turning race day into an opportunity for outreach. KZN Adventist Athletics Club , joined by members from Adventist Athletics Club-BORDER and Eastern Province, showed up at the Ntenga Foundation Race in Durban, once again demonstrating that AAC is not confined to one city, one province or one route. And in the Western Cape, Adventist Athletics Club WP took to the trails at The Gratitude Run 2026 in Stellenbosch, adding yet another chapter to a Heritage Day marked by movement, fellowship and purpose. FITNESS FOR WITNESSING.
