For the first time in our history, two JForce Formula Vee race cars will line up on the same grid at Zwartkops Raceway on 8 November.

Both cars were designed and built in-house by Johan Gouws Snr, whose vision and engineering expertise made the JForce project a reality.

This achievement represents years of dedication, craftsmanship, and belief in what South African motorsport can achieve when passion meets precision.

Johan Gouws Jnr will compete in the white JForce car, while Blane de Meillon will make his debut in his own red JForce machine. Seeing two cars built by the same hands and developed in the same workshop compete together marks a special moment for the team.

Every JForce car is built with purpose — engineered for performance, reliability, and pride. Having both cars represent our vision on track is a powerful step forward for Gouws Motorsport.

🚀 From dream to reality, and now to the edge of possibility.

Back in 2006, my dad and I started racing together in the Mantis car. He carried a dream with him for years: to design and build our own race car. In 2024, that dream became reality when we debuted the car he built from scratch.

It hasn’t been smooth sailing. Setbacks and crashes have tested us. But every rebuild has made us stronger, every lap has unlocked more potential. In May, we came close to a podium before being spun out — another challenge on this long road.

Now, as we approach the 8th of November, we’re preparing harder than ever. My dad has transformed the car — new panels, sidepods, repairs, a full respray, and an engine blueprint. It feels like we’re about to race a brand-new machine. Off the track, I’ve been pushing myself with running, cycling, and swimming to stay sharp for what these cars demand.

We’ve never won a race. But that’s the dream: to take this car, built by father and son, and fight for victory. One weekend. Two races. A chance to make history for us.
