It’s HERE! The Dabulamanzi Backwater Ultra starts at 5pm at Emmarentia Dam. 12/24hours. 50/100 Miles. The ultimate flat water challenge begins.

Final things for our participants.

1. Can all athletes (12 or 24 hour) please come and sign the indemnity on Friday between 16:30 and 17:00.
2. ⁠All night athletes (12 night and 24 athletes) life jackets are compulsory from 6PM - 6AM.
3. ⁠You need your own seconds, there might be some hours when there is no one at the clubhouse except the paddlers, you need to have your own seconds.
4. ⁠Bring as much warm kit as you need, bring dry clothes, bring towels, bring blankets, bring whatever you need to keep warm. There’s no harm if you don’t use it.
5. ⁠Bring your own food and drinks, there is a lot that is sponsored, it can’t sustain you for the whole time. 🙂
6. ⁠YOU ARE YOUR OWN RESPONSIBILITY - We have tried to make this as clear as possible. There is no one following us doing this. If you are not feeling well, or can’t continue, you need to make the correct arrangements to get yourself safe. We are all grown ups, we can all look after ourselves. I will also be out there, worrying about myself, trying to finish 🙃
7. ⁠Saying that, we are a team, we can all look out for eachother, we can all help one another. Please do think of this as a team outing, be mindful of one another and let’s be the good paddling community we are and make sure no one gets left behind.
8. ⁠Bring good energy, bring a smile, see you all on Friday 🙏🏻
