A chilly winter’s 🥶 morning for Wits parkrun #262. Well done to all the 266 brave finishers, of which 112 were ladies, 136 males, 19 unknown, 19 did their very first parkruns, 27 visited Wits for the first time, and 27 achieved PBs.

What a magic day for Wits parkrun #261 - and the last parkrun in Autumn 🍂. There were 301 finishers - 138 ladies, 143 males, 20 unknown, an amazing 24 people finished their very first parkrun, 22 completed Wits parkrun for the first time, and 46 people had PBs today. Well done everybody.

🦟🌿 WITS PARKRUNNERS - this coming Saturday, after you have finished your run, reward the kids (and yourself) with something brilliant.
Yebo Gogga 2026: Food & Water is on at the Oppenheimer Life Sciences Building, Wits Braamfontein Campus East, just up the hill from the East Campus Planetarium parking. Consider it your cool-down walk. 😉
Step into the wild at Yebo Gogga. This is a free, interactive exhibition of science and biology where science comes to life! Get up close with fascinating creatures, explore hands-on exhibits, and uncover the wonders of nature. Perfect for kids, but the adults never want to leave either.
This Saturday doors open at 9:00. FREE ENTRY. Sweaty runners very welcome.
