Time and time again these boys prove everyone wrong. They constantly achieve on the field against a lot more resourced academies. This proves that there is no difference between the advantaged and disadvantaged, its the belief in your mind that conquers all.

So unbelievably proud of our Akani Boys. We are ecstatic to report that U17 team won the Rand Central League DSL Cup over the weekend.

What makes this achievement so special is that these Boys have had to practice with sub-par facilities and equipment. These boys are at every practice without fail and continue to excel !

A massive congratulation goes out to Prudent Sibindi, Head coach at Akani FC for his tireless work and commitment to this team.

'Life's battles don't always go to the stronger or faster man. But sooner or later, the man who wins is the man who thinks he can.'

Please contact us if you would like to get involved with the club, we are looking for Coaches, equipment and team sponsors. Even if you are able to come assist the coaches on a Saturday morning, setting up, managing drills etc . Your support in any way is greatly appreciated.

We would love to hear from you

From the dusty fields of Diepsloot to the world class facility at St Peters college. The Akani Diepsloot Foundation u15 soccer team took on Sporting FC in the Cup Finalmto decide who would be the champions of Gauteng. After a very open but tight 80 minutes the scores ended 4-4. Ezra time then played out which saw Akani FC dominate with 2 early goals and then a 3rd to seal the championship. Congrats to all the boys as well as the coaches - Prudent and Xolani. This goes to show that no matter what your background is, hard work always pays off. Keep breaking the boundaries and pushing yourselves to the limit Akani! You boys are fearless and an inspiration to us all.
