Forgot to say it but Merino is now on 27 G/A in 2025.

Mikel Merino has also produced 9 goals + 2 assist this season in all competitions!

Yesterday Merino was the Reason Eze scored a hat-trick. Don't argue with me

Merino dropping to the right as a false 9 for combinations with Saka allowed Eze to get more central & left-sided angles for shooting.

Merino played more as a false 9 than a real number 9 Yesterday. He roamed a lot and this meant that Eze found himself a lot in the box and/or in shooting positions unmarked. They have clearly worked on this in training.

Merino is intelligent and if he had pace, this League would be wrapped. His football brain is top tier. it's clear he was shoe horned in spain academies.

Yesterday Merino 9 showed more upside than Gyökeres 9 in regards to squeezing more out of Eze.

It gives us a variety of solutions!
