For many of us, the sight of a bunker feels like a trap. But what if you saw it as a chance for the most satisfying shot in the bag?

The secret to that soft, 'thump' sound and a ball that checks up on the green is all in the sand, not the ball. Aim to strike about two inches behind it, and most importantly, follow through like you’re trying to splash the sand onto the green. It’s a shot that requires trust, but when you get it right, there’s nothing quite like it.
