The sheer grit of an engineer who hasn’t slept, yet still shows up sharper than anyone else in the room.
I’ve been in this industry for 20 years. If I’ve learned one undeniable truth about high-pressure, elite live broadcasting, it’s this: Ego is the first thing that has to die.
When fatigue sets in, when the stakes are at their absolute highest, and when the margin for error is exactly zero—infrastructure won't save you. Your title won't save you.
The only thing that carries you across the finish line is the person standing right next to you. Your team.
The Cape Town Marathon didn’t just test our gear; it tested us as human beings. And we didn't just survive it—we mastered it. I am immensely proud of every single person on this crew.
