RUNNING FOR FAT LOSS: Running with the sole aim of losing weight and improving your fitness level is one of the most acessible activities for most people. For the majority of us it alwasy works out well, that is if we are consistent and keep our selves motivated.

For starters, running is a plyometric activity, when one carries all their weight on one leg and jumps off the floor and the has to pound the floor back with the same weight (plus momentum) and cussion this impact. The force generated by the pounding movement is extremely high especially for somebody who is not conditioned and is also overweight.
