Wasps Senior Rugby Club extends its heartfelt condolences to everyone at Alberton Rugby Club, the De Beer family, and all those affected by the passing of Hannes de Beer.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife- Liezel, daughter- Mila, his teammates, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.

May he rest in peace, and may his legacy live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

We’ve been on a true journey so far in 2026.

From competing in Grand Challenge, to dropping down a league. There were tough Saturdays, hard lessons, but our players never stopped believing.

They showed up. They put in the work. They backed each other- True Wasps Brother Hood.

Today, we stand proud in the Senior Grand Challenge once again.

This achievement belongs to every player who stayed the course through thick and thin. Every coach who kept pushing, every supporter who never stopped cheering, and every volunteer who keeps the club moving forward.

The road back wasn't easy, but it makes this moment even sweeter.
