๐Ÿ From hard work to a home for rugby! ๐Ÿ‰

At the beginning of 2026, Wasps Rugby Club arrived at our new home at Sandringham High School with a clear vision and a great deal of work ahead of us.

Since then, volunteers, workers, parents, coaches, players and supporters have rolled up their sleeves to help clean, repair, cut, clear, rebuild and restore the grounds. What was once overgrown and neglected is steadily being transformed into a space where our players can train, develop and belong.

The photographs tell the story: long grass has been cleared, damaged infrastructure repaired, neglected areas restored, facilities improved and the grounds brought back into active use even under the lights at night.

There is still much to be done, but every improvement represents another step towards building a sustainable future for Wasps and creating opportunities for young rugby players in our community.

To every person who has donated materials, offered equipment, worked on the grounds, supported the club or simply encouraged usโ€”THANK YOU!

This is more than the restoration of a rugby field.
Together, we are building a home, a community and a future.

๐Ÿ One club. One community. One shared vision.

๐Ÿ‰ From Wasps to the Currie Cup Finalโ€ฆ and now to Italy! ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ–ค

Everyone at Wasps Rugby Club would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Tylor Sefoor, one of our former players, on an outstanding 2026 Carling Currie Cup First Division season with Valke Rugby Union.

Watching one of our own develop through the ranks and perform on such a big stage is a source of immense pride for our club. To top it all off, Tylor scored an absolutely brilliant try in the Currie Cup First Division Finalโ€”a moment that showcased his pace, determination and finishing ability under pressure.

As if that wasnโ€™t enough, we are incredibly excited to see Tylor take the next step in his rugby journey as he heads overseas to join Mogliano Veneto Rugby Club in Italy. This is a fantastic opportunity and a richly deserved reward for the hard work, discipline and commitment he has shown throughout his career.

Your journey is an inspiration to every young player currently wearing the black and gold jersey. It proves that dreams can become reality through dedication, perseverance and a willingness to keep improving.

We are proud to have played a small part in your rugby story and will be following your career with great interest from back home.

Congratulations, Tylor! Thank you for flying the Wasps flag so proudly. We wish you every success with Mogliano Veneto Rugby Club and look forward to seeing what the future holds.

Once a Wasp, Always a Wasp! ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ–ค
