Participation the key for 2020 World Rowing Masters Regatta alternative Like most of the 2020 World Rowing regatta season, the World Rowing Masters Regatta has been cancelled. In this predominantly virtual season, however, an alternative regatta will take place. Bring on the 2020 World Rowing Virtual Masters Regatta (WRVMR).

Dear Rowing community
..We are heavily involved in the discussions with other non-contact as well as aquatic federations to provide guidance and seek clarity for the sporting sector. In the meantime please be patient and do not apply undue pressure on clubs or rowing administrators to allow you to row.

For the moment, if you have access to water and have your own equipment which is not kept in a facility with other individuals equipment i.e. no risk of contamination, you may personally apply to RowSa to row. < [email protected] >

Under no circumstances may you row out of RowSA registered club facilities, use common jetties or share equipment of any nature until there is further clarity.

South African Masters Rowing This is the home for all South African masters rowers and rowing fans! We are so excited to have won the bid to host the World Masters Rowing Regatta in 2023. We want to grow masters rowing in South Africa and you can be part of it!

A group of determined rowers participated in a Plank, Push-Up and Squat challenge for the first 3 weeks of lockdown. At the end of it we had completed 24 minutes of planks, 654 pushups and 3510 squats. And we had fun doing it, keeping focused and motivated by our fearless leader Sue Gush!
