What an incredible week of Brag Day's we had! 💃🩰✨

We are beyond proud of each and every dancer who stepped onto the floor with confidence, enthusiasm, and big smiles! From our tiny Dance Mouse Tots and Pre-School Ballet dancers 🐭🩰 to our Dance Mouse, Primary Ballet, and Dance Madness stars 🌟—every dancer showed just how much they have learned this term.

Watching our dancers demonstrate their skills, technique, creativity, and musicality was truly special. Not only did they dance beautifully, but they listened so well, followed instructions with confidence, and enjoyed every moment of sharing their progress with their families. 🤩👏

Brag Day is a wonderful reminder of how important the structure of our lessons is. Every warm-up, exercise, and dance helps build confidence, discipline, strong foundations, and a lifelong love for dance. ❤️

Learning movement isn’t just memorization. It’s a layered brain process. 🐭

🧩 Step 1: Cognitive Learning

At first, the brain works hard. You consciously think about counts, steps, words and cues.
Mistakes are common: this is normal and necessary.

🔁 Step 2: Pattern Building

With repetition, the brain starts grouping information into chunks. Sequences become patterns instead of individual details. This reduces mental load and increases consistency.

🧠 Step 3: Procedural Memory

Eventually, learning shifts into procedural (muscle) memory. Movement can be performed without conscious effort. This is why you can perform even when you’re nervous.

The brain remembers what it has learned well and often. 🐭
