The uses or benefits of aerial photography from a drone are almost infinite. It also LOOKS the part!! Who would use/benefit from aerial photography?
Some people may not be aware of the fact that we can do not only stunning aerial photos, but fantastic aerial videos as well! I am Ian Brandon, father of five children, who in turn have been blessed me with seven lovely grandchildren. In my younger days, I raced motorcycles (roadracing), and was a so called "factory sponsored” rider for Kawasaki, Honda and Suzuki. I enjoyed moderate success, and w
on some Regional and National championships back in the day.I have always had a love for aircraft, and have been flying radio controlled models for around 40 years, and although I do not compete any more, I have been fortunate enough to compete in and win various South African Championships. I am an absolutely avid freshwater fisherman (or angler, whichever you prefer!), and was selected to represent South Africa in the 2008 South African Masters team. My interest in Aerial photography began many years ago, when a friend and mine built a large fixed wing aircraft and mounted a camera in it. It was very hit and miss, as we had to guess what/where the camera was aimed at, take loads of photos and eventually end up with one or two (if we were lucky!) usable shots! My interest was re-awakened a few years ago, when quadcopters first arrived in our country, and with the amazing advancement in both technology and electronics on the modern drone, I just had to have one!! After much research, I concluded that the best drone for my purposes (aerial photography) was the DJI Inspire, which I chose because of its incredible all-round capabilities, and this will be our primary drone. Aerial photography/video is a fantastic, innovative way of capturing any form of outdoor function, sports events, outdoor team building events, corporate promotional material, advertising, property surveying, crop surveying, counting of livestock or game, building inspections (including building progression), real estate advertising, weddings, roof inspections, storm damage ... the list is endless. There are many safety factors to consider as well. Why risk someone’s life climbing up onto a roof to inspect it, when a drone can take close up aerial pictures - and as many as you like ?! We have all seen hundreds of traditional pictures, taken with traditional cameras--on the ground! Put our logo to the test and see for the difference for yourself - "SAME WORLD, NEW PERSPECTIVE!"
