Raiders Table Tennis Club family would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Saiisha Naidu on her appointment as Marketing & Sponsorship Manager of the Johannesburg Table Tennis Association (JTTA).

This is a well-deserved achievement and a proud moment for all of us. We have no doubt that you will fly the JTTA flag proudly, with passion, professionalism, and integrity.

While you now serve the greater JTTA family, we know you will always carry your Raiders family with you, while also embracing and supporting all clubs that fall under JTTA equally.

We wish you all the very best in this exciting new role. May you take JTTA to greater heights, secure meaningful sponsorships, and through your media strategy, make table tennis in Johannesburg shine on the world stage.

We are behind you all the way!

Congratulations once again, Saiisha!

🏓 The Best Part of Table Tennis Might Have Nothing to Do With Table Tennis.

At first, you come for the game.

To learn a forehand.

Improve your serve.

Win a few matches.

Get some exercise.

But somewhere along the way...

Something else happens.

You start recognising the same faces.

Someone asks if you want a hit.

People remember your name.

You find the players you always practise with.

You laugh about the ridiculous net ball that somehow won the point.

You stay around after you've finished playing just to talk.

And one day you realise...

You belong here ❤️

That's something special about the table tennis community.

It doesn't really matter whether you're 8 or 80.

Whether you've played for 30 years or picked up a bat last month.

Whether you're chasing trophies or simply chasing the ball.

We share something.

🏓 We understand the frustration of missing an easy ball.

🏓 We know the satisfaction of finally mastering a shot.

🏓 We understand why someone would happily spend hours hitting a tiny white ball across a table.

And perhaps that's why people stay in this sport for decades.

It's not only the table tennis.

It's the people.

In a world where we're supposedly more "connected" than ever, genuine belonging can be surprisingly difficult to find.

Table tennis gives us somewhere to go.

People to play.

People to compete against.

People to laugh with.

People who notice when we haven't been around for a while.

That's community.

And that's something worth protecting ❤️🏓

Because years from now, you might not remember the score of every match you played.

But you'll remember the people you played them with.

You'll remember the friendships.

The conversations.

The tournaments.

The road trips.

The laughs.

The feeling that when you walked into a table tennis stadium...

you were one of us.

💬 What has the table tennis community given YOU that you never expected when you first started playing?

Tell us in the comments 👇

❤️ And if table tennis has given you friendships, memories or somewhere you genuinely belong, share this post.

Someone out there might be looking for exactly the community we've already found.
