We are an established brand within the global Arcfyre Group. We provide key accredited corporate and individual security training programs, protective operations, risk consulting and specialist online courses.
We assess every potential candidate applying to Arcfyre to strict training criteria.
We continue to biannually develop and assess all successful employees within the group to strict training criteria.
Clients, corporations and protective ops come to us for training ranging from advanced driving, firearm use and handling, to first aid and managing health and safety principles.
We teach practical, theory, hard skills and soft skills.
They come to us to upskill, self-develop, self-improve, protect themselves and protect others.
Our programmes influence the outcomes of hostile situations, preparing and equipping people with the right tools to identify and mitigate potential risks and survive in a crisis.

Maximising cover in low light ๐ฏ๏ธ
Our Ops team focused on close-quarter survival under low to no-light conditions.
They quickly adapted to the environment, using vehicles as cover while managing impaired reaction times and harder target identification.
โช๏ธ Use light to your advantage โช๏ธ Clear methodically with a flashlight โช๏ธ Coordinate weapon handling with handheld or weapon-mounted lights
Control the fight in high-pressure, low-visibility situations

When we talk about hostile environments, we tend to picture high-risk regions, localised civil unrest, complex urban operations and remote sites with limited extraction options.
Sometimes the threat is eight-legged and sitting beside you.
CPOs operate across a range of environments and the training has to match. Training at Altor International is about being flexible, adaptable and always prepared for the unexpected.

Soft skills complement hard skills, and the right combination of the two makes for an exceptional operative.
Developing soft skills helps manage unpredictable environments, volatile people and hostile situations. They also provide more empathetic personal interactions and therefore a higher standard of client service.
What soft skills set strong security professionals apart?
๐น Communication: Clear, concise communication prevents misunderstandings. It includes listening and understanding non-verbal and social cues - whether addressing a client, coordinating with the team, or de-escalating a threat.
๐น Flexibility & Adaptability: Every operation will involve unpredictable variables, from changes in client schedules to unexpected threats. The ability to assess, adapt and act decisively in the moment separates a competent operator from an exceptional one.
๐น Emotional Development: Emotional regulation is key in any high-pressure situation. Remaining calm and judging the appropriate response in a situation is vital for the safe protection of yourself, your principal and the team.
๐น Problem Solving: a favourite of our CEO Jared Higgins, and one of the most underrated skills in this industry. Operators who stand out are the ones who can read a situation, weigh the options under pressure and resolve issues before they become threats.
๐น Conflict Resolution: Persuasive communication and de-escalation techniques are core skills in close protection. The ability to read tone, manage emotions and steer confrontation toward a peaceful outcome can defuse a situation before escalation.
๐น Teamwork: Essential between security professionals and internal teams, and equally important when working with external stakeholders such as law enforcement.
Building these skills takes time - ongoing training, reflection, observation of experienced operators, exposure to different cultures and scenario-based practice all contribute. Soft skills travel well across many industries, and the operators who keep developing them are the ones who stand out.

The Arcfyre Group does upward of 70,000 operational days annually across 60 countries ๐
The client's trust placed in us for every task is a result of due diligence, hard work and creating a team with the right people in the right roles.
Twice a year, every operational employee across the Arcfyre Group is reassessed against the same standards we set on day one: physical fitness, driving skills, defensive tactics, weapons proficiency and operational ability. Every operational employee, every six months.
The criteria are tailored to the role. Secure Drive, Secure Express, our GSOC team, and all protective services within Arcfyre International, Arcfyre Nigeria and Arcfyre East Africa have tailored assessment criteria aligned with their roles to pass.
'We have a culture of self-development, built on a platform provided to all staff and encouraged through gym memberships, personal development opportunities, and monthly ammunition for individual training. I strongly believe in natural career progression - drive, ambition and hunger are all excellent attributes, and it's important to make space for them.'
- Jared Higgins, Arcfyre Group CEO
Altor International runs the training, the assessments, and the development pathways that sit behind this standard.
Our recruitment criteria are strict, which is how we put the right people in front of clients in the first place. Twice-yearly reassessment is how we make sure they are still the right people two, five, ten years in.
'How is that client trust gained? By showing up continuously - not just once, but every time, for every client, over the past 22 years.'
- Jared Higgins

Weโre proud to share that Arcfyre International has achieved the highly sought after ISO 18788:2015 and ANSI/ASIS PSC.1:2022 certification โญ
These are internationally recognised standards for Security Operations Management Systems, focused on risk management, legal compliance and respect for human rights within security operations.
Importantly, these standards extend across the entire Arcfyre Group.
For our clients, this means:
โญ Internationally verified quality management - the same standard, for every client, every time
โญ Legal compliance, human rights, and use of force frameworks - independently audited,
โญ Consistent, risk-managed service delivery - regardless of environment or complexity
All subsidiaries operate under our ISO 18788:2015-certified South African entity, with a Johannesburg-based compliance team conducting quarterly internal audits across operations in Nigeria, Kenya and the UK. These reviews cover:
โช๏ธ Protective services delivery against ISO 18788 requirements
