Inkanyezi means Sunshine in Xhosa. Inkanyezi Star Soccer Club is the name of a football team, a very special one, as its players are grannies over 60.
Inkanyezi Is a Xhosa Soccer Team of grannies . One must be over 60 to get in. Inkanyezi is the Xhosa word for Sunshine. This team of GOGOS (Grannies) has been playing since 2010, when they got inspired and motivated with the World Cup in South Africa. They live in one of the biggest townships around Cape Town, Kaylitcha. They keep organized and training every week, with such an incredible spirit.
