The new planting season is underway, and we at BayAgro are excited to kick off our first sunflower trials in the Petrusburg area! 🚜🌻

Die pekanneutboorde en koringlande is 'n mooi gesig en wys weer die potensiaal van ons landbougebied. 🚜🌱

Ons programme is tans volstoom aan die gang, en dit is vir ons lekker om ook 'n paar nuwe kliënte op ons pad te verwelkom!

Ons sien uit daarna om saam met ons bestaande én nuwe kliënte te groei en 'n positiewe verskil op elke plaas te maak. 💪🌿

🌱 Gesprek met die volgende generasie landboukundiges! 🌽

Verlede week het ons die voorreg gehad om met die finalejaar-BSc-studente by Kovsies te gesels.

Dit was ’n omvattende sessie waarin ons onder andere gekyk het na:
• ’n Bekendstelling aan BayAgro
• Hoe ’n tipiese dag in die lewe van ’n landboukundige lyk
• Praktiese insigte uit die landboubedryf
• ’n Vinnige, basiese oefening rondom die samestelling van ’n mieliespuitprogram

Dit was lekker om kennis en praktiese ervaring met die studente te deel en met die toekomstige landboukundiges van ons bedryf te gesels.

Last week, we had the privilege of spending some time with the final-year BSc students at Kovsies.

It was a comprehensive and engaging session covering:
• An introduction to BayAgro
• A typical day in the life of an agronomist
• Practical insights into the agricultural industry
• A quick, basic exercise on putting together a maize spray programme

It was a great opportunity to share practical knowledge and industry experience while engaging with the future agronomists of our industry.

🔬🌱 Presisie begin by monitering.

By BayAgro wag ons nie vir bolwurmskade voordat ons optree nie. Reeds vroeg in die seisoen monitor ons bolwurmmotvlugte in pekanneutboorde om veranderinge in plaagdruk en vlugaktiwiteit betyds te identifiseer.

Deur gereelde monitering en die opbou van motvlugdata kan ons pieke in aktiwiteit identifiseer en hierdie inligting gebruik om spuitprogramme en die tydsberekening van beheermaatreëls beter te ondersteun.

Die sukses van ’n gewasbeskermingsprogram gaan nie net oor wat gespuit word nie – tydsberekening is net so belangrik.
