PROUD COACH MOMENTS 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽

Wow, how time really flies. It honestly feels like just yesterday these boys were short, skinny little guys running around with nothing but a football and a big dream.

Fast forward just two years, and now some of them are my height and a few are even taller than me. But one thing that has never changed is their love and passion for football.

What makes me even prouder is seeing them grow not only as footballers, but as young men. They are now at that important stage of life where they are starting to discover themselves, their strengths and the kind of people they want to become.

Football has a way of teaching us so much more than just how to score goals or win games. It teaches discipline, respect, teamwork, commitment and how to deal with both victory and disappointment. These are lessons that they will carry with them long after the final whistle.

Today was one of those days when I just stood back and felt incredibly proud of how far these boys have come. Their football journey is important, but their journey towards becoming responsible, respectful and good men is even more important.

I am truly proud of every single one of them and grateful to be part of their journey.

Keep growing, boys. Keep believing. Keep working hard. Your journey is only beginning!

The FIFA World Cup Final is no accident. It features two nations ranked among the world’s top four in Futsal, a testament to the role the game plays in developing world-class footballers.

In these countries, children are introduced to Futsal/Indoor Soccer from an early age through schools and football clubs. The results speak for themselves.

Futsal develops the fundamentals that define elite players and that is confidence in possession, quick decision-making, creativity in tight spaces, intelligent movement, constant rotation, teamwork and the ability to counter-press immediately after losing the ball.

England’s struggles to control possession against Argentina, much like in the previous UEFA Euro Final against Spain, highlighted the importance of these qualities at the highest level.

At the Northern Cape Indoor Soccer League, we firmly believe that Futsal is more than just a game, it’s a powerful tool for developing technically gifted, intelligent and confident footballers. By investing in indoor football and Futsal, we are investing in the future of football in the Northern Cape and South Africa.

The Northern Cape Indoor Social League extends its heartfelt condolences to FC Thole CA, the Monethi family, friends and teammates on the passing of their goalkeeper, Mr. Paseka Monethi.

We mourn the loss of a dedicated sportsman who served his team with courage, discipline and unwavering passion. His contribution to the game and to the league will be fondly remembered and will never be forgotten.

May his soul rest in eternal peace and may strength and comfort be granted to all those affected by this profound loss.

TAKA-SHACK PRODUCES NEW CHAMPIONS

The Northern Cape Indoor Social League is proud to announce Diamond FC as the newly crowned champions of Season 2. Competing under the vibrant atmosphere at the Taka-Shack, the team demonstrated exceptional consistency, discipline and competitive spirit throughout the campaign, ultimately earning them the prestigious league title.

Across an intensive 40-match season, Diamond FC showcased remarkable quality and resilience. Their performance reflects a team that not only arrived prepared for the challenges of the league, but one that approached every fixture with commitment and purpose. Their impressive record speaks for itself:
• 30 victories, highlighting their dominance and tactical strength;
• 2 draws, underscoring their ability to remain composed under pressure;
• Only 8 losses, a testament to their defensive organisation and mental fortitude;
• An extraordinary 168 goals scored, showcasing their attacking depth and creativity and;
• A solid 58 goals conceded, demonstrating balance between offense and defence.

This level of performance can only be achieved through teamwork, leadership and a shared desire to excel. Diamond FC have set a new benchmark for excellence within the league and have truly earned their place at the top.

Congratulations to Diamond FC on a well-deserved championship title. Their hard work and consistency have paid off, and they now stand as worthy ambassadors of the Northern Cape Indoor Social League.
