After picking up the tracks of this old bull early on the morning we were due to move on, we carefully closed the distance, knowing every step counted. At the perfect moment, Kevin made a great shot, and after an exciting follow-up through the thick bush and with two perfect follow-up shots we finally had our hands on an ancient buffalo bull

An unforgettable hunt, a well-earned trophy, and another milestone on what has turned into an incredible safari.

Spending the last day of the safari in search of a duiker, we unexpectedly came across this absolute monster of a Livingstone eland bull. One look was all it took , Phil knew he couldn’t let this incredible old bull walk away.

Our first stalk ended when a few sharp-eyed cows picked us up, forcing us to back out and give the herd time to settle before making another attempt later that afternoon.

Patience paid off. Everything finally came together, and the old bull paused for just a few seconds—long enough for Phil to make a well-placed shot. An unforgettable way to wrap up the first leg of an incredible safari.

Everything came together for Kevin just before lunch as they connected with this stunning golden wildebeest!

With another incredible trophy on the ground, the rest of the safari can now be dedicated to one goal—spending a full day pursuing an old Cape buffalo bull for Kevin. The excitement is building, and we can’t wait to see what tomorrow has in store.

A fantastic start to Day 4 for Jacques and Kevin, as they encountered this old and wise sable bull

With his heavy horns sweeping back in a perfect arc and years of experience etched into his presence, this magnificent bull is a true symbol of strength and survival. After a careful and respectful approach, the moment came together perfectly, marking an unforgettable beginning to the day’s adventure.

While Kevin and Jacques spent the afternoon of day 3 pursuing Sable, Buffalo, and Golden Wildebeest…Phil and Riaan set their sights on something much smaller , but no less exciting.

They connected with this stunning steenbuck ram, another fantastic addition to Phil’s Tiny 10 collection. These little antelope may be small in stature, but they are incredibly alert and offer a challenging and rewarding hunt.
