๐Ÿ’œ THE PEZULA COMMUNITY FUND | HELPING OUR KNYSNA COMMUNITY, ONE PROJECT AT A TIME ๐Ÿ’œ

Did you know that Pezula has its very own Pezula Community Fund?

The Fund was created with a simple purpose: to give back to our greater Knysna community by identifying meaningful, hands-on projects where we can make a real and lasting difference.

With a few wonderful projects already under our belt, we are ready to take on our next one โ€” and this time, we need the help of our local community and businesses. ๐Ÿ’œ

Meet Rowena Simmers.

Rowena is just 14 years old and has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). After spending nearly four months at Groote Schuur Hospital, she was able to return home to Knysna, where her treatment journey continues.

While her medical team determines the next steps in her treatment, we would like to focus on something practical that we can help with: improving Rowenaโ€™s home and creating a comfortable, safe space where she can rest and recover.

Our Club Captain, Craig, will personally oversee the project, and the Pezula Community Fund is reaching out to our incredible Knysna community for assistance.

๐Ÿ  We are looking for local businesses or individuals who may be able to assist with:

* Roof: Waterproofing and roof paint
* Ceiling: Rhinoboards, brandering and insulation
* Paint: Interior and exterior paint
* Flooring: Tiles, tile adhesive and grout
* Bathroom: Toilet, sink mixer and shower mixer
* Building materials: Plaster and sand
* Bedroom: A second-hand single bed, sheets and pillowcases

Whether you can assist with one item, a few materials, or something larger, every contribution will help us get one step closer to completing Rowenaโ€™s space. ๐Ÿ’œ

โ›ณ A POWER PAIR BEHIND PEZULA โ›ณ

Every great golf course has a strong team behind it and these two certainly know how to get things done! ๐Ÿ‘

Meet Ashley Weir, our Director of Golf and Christo Krugel, our Golf Operations Manager, a duo who seem to understand each other without needing too many wordsโ€ฆ although weโ€™re sure there are plenty exchanged behind the scenes! ๐Ÿ˜„

Ashley joined Pezula almost eight years ago, bringing with him experience from Eagle Canyon Golf Estate and Steyn City. Christo joined Pezula three years ago, bringing with him experience from Silver Lakes and St Francis Links.

Together, the level at which they operate and the way they have continued to elevate the Pezula experience has been fantastic to watch.

What makes their working relationship even more special? It goes back LONG before Pezula.
Ashley and Christo have been friends since their tertiary education days. Who would have thought that all these years later, they would find themselves working together in beautiful Knysna, helping lead one of South Africaโ€™s top golf courses?

Thereโ€™s a huge amount of mutual respect between these two, along with an understanding of how the other operates. They communicate well, back each other, challenge each other when needed and, most importantly, share the same passion for continually moving Pezula forward.

A special shoutout to Ashley Weir for leading Pezula to its highest-ever ranking, #13 among South Africaโ€™s Top 100 Golf Courses ๐Ÿ†โ›ณ An incredible milestone and one that reflects years of dedication, leadership and the collective effort of the entire Pezula team.
