TDA TIP THURSDAY ✨

FINISH EVERY MOVEMENT.

One of the biggest differences between simply doing choreography and truly performing it is what happens at the end of each movement.

Don’t rush to get to the next step.
Don’t cut a movement short because you already know what comes next.

Extend the line. Finish the gesture. Complete the transfer of weight. Use the music right to the very end of the count.

Encourage dancers to understand that the space between the steps matters just as much as the steps themselves.
A movement isn’t finished when you start thinking about the next one.
It’s finished when you’ve completed its full intention.
