After 27 years, Thys Potgieter and his family are bidding farewell to Kuils Golf Shop CC. It has been a privilege to serve the members and guests at Kuilsriver Golf Course. Countless early mornings and late nights have brought us joy, friendships, and a commitment to providing professional service to the game of golf. As a PGA Club Professional for 30 years, Thys has been a steadfast ambassador for the sport, fulfilling his responsibilities with dedication. He has always prioritized junior golf development, leaving a lasting impression on young members with his valuable advice.
Our staff, from Uncle Happy and Aunt Annie in the past to Marlene and Melissa today, have built strong relationships with each member, understanding what makes your experience memorable from the moment you enter the Pro Shop. We are grateful for the years spent with you; our children grew up in this environment, dedicating 363 days a year, filled with hard work and passion.
Thank you for all the wonderful memories. As Ben Hogan once said, "With keenness and determination, there is nothing you can't accomplish." We look forward to seeing you on the tee box or green somewhere in beautiful Cape Town soon. Our commitment to the game of golf will continue.
