The Ubuntu Recreational Gala was fun, exciting, and most importantly showcased that the children are water safe and growing in confidence. The energy from the parents and spectators made the day extra special.

We now close for the winter season and look forward to seeing everyone again in September!

Training sessions with a sprinkle of fun

Its been a busy year for our swimmers who have spent weekends in different types of water,learning while making friends and being water safe.

As we approach the winter break we looking forward to hosting our swimming gala and our swimmers cant wait to show off what they have learnt.

Ottos Recreational Swimming Gala Yesterday was a success,we took 35 children to compete against their peers and they delivered a spectacular performance 👏 🙌 👌

Shaka’s Head’s Ubuntu Aquatics swim school pupils enjoyed their first training session in a 25m heated pool through a partnership with Curro Salt Rock last month.

The school, which caters to children aged 4-17, had struggled to regularly train given issues with a leak at the Shaka’s Head community pool, which has since been repaired.

Nevertheless, Ubuntu Aquatics coach Sinqobile Zondi said he was grateful to have created a partnership with Curro should problems arise in the future.

Proud of our young swimmers who made waves and showed the true spirit of sportsmanship. The journey continues — keep dreaming, keep training, and keep making waves! 🌊🤩

Kudos to the Ubuntu Team for always promoting water safety and teaching swimming in a fun way.

We are now two months in, and you can see that water confidence continues to improve.
