Sometimes golf gives you that moment… your ball lands in the water hazard, and you think, “Right, let’s see what I can do!” 😎

Out it comes with a beautiful shot… heading in exactly the right direction…

…and then Murphy’s Law decides to join the game! 🌳😂

Straight into the tree… and right back into the water! 💦

Well, at least we know the men are giving it everything they've got! 😉

What an incredible day at Margate Country Club — rain 🌧️, thunderstorms ⛈️, sunshine ☀️ and plenty of laughs along the way.

And what better way to finish the day than with beautiful sunshine and a little golf drama to put the cherry on top! 🍒

All three MCC sides finished in the Top 10 — and one of our teams brought home an incredible 🥉 3rd place!

After watching you paint Southbroom red yesterday, we knew you were going to show up and perform the way you always do — with your cheer, your laughter, your fighting spirit and your absolute joy for the game. ❤️

You represented Margate with pride, passion and plenty of heart, and we couldn’t be prouder of every single one of you.

There were smiles. There was golf. There was laughter. And most importantly, there was togetherness.

🌱⛳ SPRING FEVER HAS HIT MARGATE COUNTRY CLUB! 🌸

When spring treatment fever catches on, there’s always something happening around the course! And this week, our 3rd tee box is getting some much-needed attention. 👏

A big thank you to Joe Espach, our generous sponsor of the 3rd tee, who is busy levelling and correcting the tee box and getting it ready for our golfers. 💪⛳

We only started the renovations this past Monday, but already we’re excited to see the progress. There’s still work to be done, but we cannot wait to see the finished result!

⛳️💚 YOU KNOW YOU’RE DESPERATE FOR GOLF WHEN…

…after four long days of course closure, you find yourself standing at the Pro Shop doors, just waiting for the gates to open! 😂🏌️‍♀️

There’s something about golf that is impossible to explain to someone who doesn’t play.

That feeling of finally standing over the ball again.
The strike.
That beautiful thwack of club meeting ball.
Watching it climb high into the sky, sail down the fairway and then… plop… land almost exactly where you intended.

That little moment of “YES!” — that’s golf. ❤️

And today, there’s even more to appreciate.

The fresh smell of the course after Spring Treatment. 🌱
The little seedlings beginning to push their way through the grass.
The strategic planning and experience that goes into caring for our course.

When the rain comes down, but our Green Team keeps going… when there’s still work to be done to get Margate Country Club ready to welcome you back on Tuesday morning — that is dedication. That is pride. That is caring for our course. 👏💚

Spring treatment isn’t always pretty at first. 🌱

There’s hollow tining, top dressing, sanding and plenty of work that can leave our greens looking a little less than glorious for a while. But that’s only the beginning of the story.

And this year, we want you to follow that story with us. 📸🌱

Come out on Tuesday and see where it all begins. Take those before pictures. Watch as the little buds of spring begin to push through. Watch the greens recover, strengthen and slowly transform into that beautiful, lush carpet we all love to putt on.

Spring brings with it new life, fresh growth and a beautiful opportunity to give our course the care, love and attention she deserves.

A very special thank you and shout-out to our incredible Greens Team, our Greens Executive, and everyone working behind the scenes who is putting in the time, effort and dedication to make our Spring Treatment a success. 👏🏼🌿

There is so much work that happens behind the scenes, and we truly appreciate every early morning, every long hour and every bit of effort that goes into caring for our beautiful course.

What a truly wonderful Business Day we had this past Thursday at Margate Country Club!

There was something very special about having so many of our fine members and golfers come out, take a little time away from their businesses and busy lives, and celebrate the arrival of spring with us. 🌿☀️

The atmosphere was fantastic, the golf was great, and most importantly, it was simply wonderful having everyone together. Thank you to each and every one of you who came out and made the day so special. You are what makes these days worth having. ❤️
