Sinesipho Dambile Confirmed for 150m Showdown Against Noah Lyles and Gout Gout in Ostrava in Czechia on 16 June. ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ

The fast track in Ostrava is being tipped as the ideal setting for the fastest standalone 150m ever run on a curve.

Olympic champion Noah Lyles has confirmed he will use the race to attack the world best of 14.92 seconds, which was set earlier this year by Jamaican Kishane Thompson.

Alongside Australian teenage prodigy Gout Gout, Dambile will test his half-lap speed against the best in the world.

The menโ€™s 400m at the Ostrava Golden Spike has added major star power with the confirmation of South Africa's Lythe Pillay.

The South African talent faces a heavy-hitting field that includes American indoor world record holder Khaleb McRae, who boasts a 43.91 personal best, alongside Belgium's defending champion Daniel Segers.

Pillay has already shown terrifying form over the distance this season, turning heads globally after dropping a historic 42.66s flying split during the 4ร—400m relays in Botswana.

"It was a tough race, and I know where I went wrong and what I need to work on. I was very confident going into today, as I have been running well. I need to watch it back, but I think I can improve despite beating some big names today.

"I am going to Doha next, but I am targeting the Commonwealth Games later in the summer, which I am very excited for."

Two-time South African Olympian Matt Sates is actively seeking Australian citizenship.

During the 2026 Australian Trials in Sydney, it was revealed that two-time South African Olympian Matt Sates is seeking Australian citizenship to change his sporting allegiance ahead of the LA 2028 Olympics.

The 22-year-old former NCAA and World Short Course Champion holds multiple national records but is looking to revitalize his long-course career after missing the podium at Tokyo 2021 and Paris 2024.

Under updated World Aquatics rules, his waiting period is only one year from his last appearance for South Africa at the 2025 World Championships, making him eligible to represent Australia as early as late 2026.

While his personal bests in the 200 IM (1:57.43) and 200 free (1:45.91) would heavily bolster Australia's depth and relay potential, Sates will still have to navigate a highly competitive domestic field to secure a spot on the Aussies international roster.

ON has announced the signing of 17-year-old South African sprint sensation Mukona Manavhela to its global athlete roster.

The Curro Hazeldean standout, coached by Thabo Matebedi, becomes the second South African sprinter to join ON following 400m star Lythe Pillay.

A former rugby player who transitioned to track, Manavhela solidified his professional contract after securing a triple gold sweep (100m, 200m, medley relay) at the 2025 CAA African U18 Championships and lowering his personal bests to 10.14s and 20.45s in 2026. ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆโšก๏ธ
