Our social club had an absolute blast visiting Pumbaa Wildlife Park this month! We spotted an incredible variety of animals, including tigers, white tigers, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, wild dogs, and majestic lions to name a few!

Huge thanks to the amazing staff at Pumbaa Wildlife Park for their warm welcome and enthusiasm. They answered all our questions with patience and passion!

GrowROOM allows our children that would normally be alone with no friends of their own to interact and communicate in a safe environment where they can feel comfortable.

Luke enjoys the excursions and company of the fellow adults and have made friends that would not normally be possible. The outings are exciting and there is usually a lesson to learn and this has also boosted his confidence in interacting and communicating with others.

The social club is indeed a necessity for all adults with disabilities!

“GrowROOM het vir Willem (30) met Downsindroom ‘n sosiale deur oopgemaak wat tot dusver vir jong volwassenes met gestremdhede gesluit was.

Hy het eers omtrent 3 maande gelede deel geword van die groep, maar was van die eerste dag af met ope arms en warm harte verwelkom.
Willem is verbaal swak maar dis duidelik dat hy die maandelikse uitstappies baie geniet.
Dis vir ons as ouers wonderlik om te weet dat daar vir hom ‘n plek is waar hy tussen mense soos hy kan wees en veilig is.
Ons hoef nooit bekommerd te wees oor hom terwyl hy by ‘n GrowROOM aktiwiteit is nie.

November 1st, 2024, marked our final Social Club gathering for the year, and what a journey it's been!

From humble beginnings with 4 members on March 11th, 2024, to growing into a vibrant community of 12 incredible individuals, we're overjoyed by the progress!

GrowROOM's vision is to empower young adults with special needs to form lifelong friendships, feel accepted, and belong. Today, we celebrate the milestones achieved and the love shared among our members.
