What a nice venue with so many fishable water and an abundance of fish.

Rounds 4 and 5 of the 2025 WC SCL was held Lomond Wine Estate before the start of the winter break. William placed 12th on the Saturday, and having covered much of the water during the first day put together a strong game plan for the 2nd day, clinching the win on the Sunday.

By being versatile, adapting to conditions and pulling slightly off the abundance of reeds and focusing on grass edges, William managed 2 good results and moved up on the season log to 2nd place overall.

Now for a good winter break and with 3 difficult, new venues from August, it will be a tough battle on the log. Looking forward to the remaining challenges that the season has to offer!

Fun event for William at the 3rd round of the SCL WP at Poortjieskloof dam. An abundance of fish, though bigger fish were very scarce.

Still sitting in 4th overall on season log. Next up: Double header at Lomond Dam, again new waters with some exciting challenges up ahead!

William managing a 4th place finish on the Breede River at Skurwekop during the 2nd round of the WP SCL Small Craft League. Jumped up to 4th overall on the log.

Challenging conditions being on new water and with a tough summer bite, but managed to put together a 170cm bag by focusing on reaction bites predominantly.

Thanks to the WP SCL committee and sponsors for putting up a quality event.

Leg 2 of the LBT took us to Rhenosterkop. We've never fished the venue before but were excited to fish new waters and it didn't disappoint. An 11kg bag and second place with no practice was a brilliant result for us. Thanks to Greg and his team for organizing a amazing event and truly taking the LBT to new highs.

What a tough TTT final. Managed to scrape a limit together on both days, just needed that one bigger bite. Dean enjoyed fishing his first TTT nationals and we are both happy with a 7th place finish.
Sometimes you need a bit of luck.. caught 2 nice fish on one cast cranking. Thanks to all the organisers for a very well run tournament.

Blessed beyond measure!
The goal was to try and win both Lowveld Bass Trail and Small Craft Bass League Lowveld AOY titles for 2024 Season.
With the LBT AOY title in the bag, the pressure was on. With a tough day at Klipkopje a couple of highs and lows, Dean got the job done to secure his log win. Winning both titles is something we will treasure for a long time. Looking forward to the SABAA Team Tournament Trail final to end off a amazing season. Thanks to all the support from friends, family and sponsors.
