In the spirit of The Masters, members played the iconic Masters scorecard on our Links course in an Individual Stableford format. The fun of the day ... some Par 5's were played as Par 3's ... and the benefits some Par 4's became Par 5's 🎉

Headlined by Nigel Pillay carding a spectacular 7-under 65 and with James Crawford, Peter Troesch,and Clarrie Middleton all on form the fourball clinched the win on 84 pts in the Alliance 3,2,1 member/guest competition. Nigel posted a 31 on the back nine and went on to match his personal best 65 🔥 Well played gentlemen and great to see Clarrie Middleton in the winners circle!

Game, set, statement 🎾🔥 Massive congratulations to Armand Maritz on a standout performance in the U12 division at the recent American Express Free State Super 8 - one of the top junior tournaments in the country 💪 Starting as the 23rd seed, Armand played fearless, high-quality tennis, taking down the 11th, 3rd and 2nd seeds to secure an impressive 3rd place finish. 👏🥉
Armand then stepped onto the biggest stage in the country! Tennis South Africa’s 🇿🇦 American Express Junior National Championship where the country’s finest junior talent gathered in Mangaung, Free State this past weekend. With over 500 entries across the U12, U14, U16, and U18 divisions, the championship showcased the rising stars of South African tennis.
Competing in just his second National Championship in the u12 division, Armand rose to the challenge. Playing with grit and heart, Armand gained invaluable experience and continued to raise his game against the best. The big match experience and learning gained was huge.

Our members were on fire in the Monthly Medal 🔥 Chris Strydom fired a 5-under 67 which included a superb 32 with 4 birdies on the front nine. Ferdinand Hoffman won the Men's B division and also the Overall Best Nett on a 68. Jenny Germs secured her first victory in the Ladies Silver/Bronze division. Stephen Barker banked a trio of headlines following a hole-in-one on 16 for his first ace 🎯 winning the Senior Division as well as the Overall Best Points prize and was joined in the winners circle by his son Ryan Barker, who won the B Division Best Gross.
What an amazing day on the fairways. Well played everyone and congratulations to all the prize winners 👏 🎉

Jose Henriques & Owen Mbundu both carded rounds one better than handicap (71 nett) to win the Betterball Medal multiplication competition on 78 points. They cemented the win with two massive 3x3 nine pointers and birdies from Jose on 6 and 14 and Owen on 3. Great teamwork gentlemen 👏

With tears of joy Mellissa said "My ball landed in front of the green, took a few bounces, and rolled into the hole. Dawn Newman, Sonya Behrens and Leigh Kahn and I all saw it go in. We all shouted and then went ballistic. Sonya even threw her club in the air in celebration"🤩
"Honestly I miss-hit my tee shot with my 5-iron hybrid, but it ended up being a good shot with a nice little draw on it. I still can’t believe it ! And now my name will go up on the Honours Board."
“The ball never left the hole, it just kept tracking" said Sonya afterwards.

Bringing huge heart and team spirit our 4th League team of Elitha Peachey & Madelyn Ritz, Stacey Clemen & Jolene van Eerden and Irene van Biljon & Jo Knowles had a thrilling 4th round match against Clovelly, hosted at Parow. The match went down to the wire, and well done to Clovelly on the 18th hole win.

🥇 Nigel Pillay & Flip Niemandt fired a spectacular 41 points on the front nine following a 2-under 34 from Nigel and a 1-over 37 by Flip to win the member Combined Stableford competition on 74 points.
