Position: Experienced Horse Groom

Location: EquiVest Private Stables
Position Type: Full-time live-in

​We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and experienced groom to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a genuine passion for horses, a calm demeanor, and proven experience handling horses safely and confidently.

​Key Responsibilities
* ​Daily mucking out, bed making, and maintaining clean stables.
* ​Feeding, watering, and monitoring horse dietary intake according to instructions.
* ​Bringing horses to and from paddocks safely.
* ​Grooming, and washing down horses.
* ​Basic health checks, identifying signs of illness or injury, and reporting issues promptly.
* ​Basic first aid, wound care, and administering routine supplements.
* ​General paddock maintenance.
* ​Assisting visiting professionals (farriers, veterinarians, and equine dentists) when required.

​Requirements & Experience
​Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience working in an equestrian yard or stable environment.

​Confident and quiet handling skills with various horses (including young horses, competition horses, or ponies).

​Thorough knowledge of equine welfare, basic behavior, and safety standards.

​Sober habits, strong work ethic, punctuality, and attention to detail.

​Ability to work weekends, public holidays, or show days on a roster system.

​Contactable references from previous equestrian employers are essential.
