We are delighted to share some outstanding results from the SACSSA National Cross Country Championships.

High School Girls: 3rd Overall
High School Boys: 3rd Overall
Overall Region: 3rd Place

This is a remarkable achievement for our region, and we give God all the glory for this success.

The next exciting event on the Vaal West Sports Calendar is the Vaal West Regional Athletics Championships!

As the organizers, we are looking forward to hosting this outstanding event and welcoming athletes from across the region for a day of spirited competition, sportsmanship, and excellence.

We encourage all our schools to enter their athletes and invite parents to come along and support them. Look forward to see you all there.

After a very successful SACSSA National Cross Country Championships in Bethlehem, we are incredibly proud of the Vaal West team.

Competing against some of the country's top cross-country athletes, our runners represented Vaal West with determination, perseverance, and excellent sportsmanship. We are especially proud to have brought home a silver medal—an outstanding achievement at such a high-quality event.

Vaal West cross country! Runners can use this event to still qualify for the SACSSA National cross country on the 1 August 2026 in Bethlehem.

We would like to thank all our member schools for taking part in the very successful Vaal West cross country event. Congratulations to all the athletes who participated and gave their best on the day.

We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to 3 Rivers Christian Academy for allowing Vaal West to host the event on their premises. Your support and hospitality are truly appreciated.

We are looking forward to the upcoming SACSSA National Cross Country event and wish all our athletes the very best as they prepare for the competition.

Vaal West would like to thank you all for a successful event on Saturday. We especially want to thank all the parents who allowed their children to take part in this wonderful event.

To all the schools that participated, it was a fun-filled and busy netball and soccer day, and your support and involvement made it truly special.

A big thank you to all the learners, teams, referees, and team managers for your hard work, dedication, and excellent sportsmanship throughout the event.

We truly appreciate everyone’s effort and enthusiasm.

Vaal West Region would like to congratulate the swimmers who represented Vaal West at the SACSSA Invitational Swimming Gala held in Durban on 28 March 2026.

Our swimmers performed exceptionally well and proudly brought home six medals. We are extremely proud of their achievements and the manner in which they represented our region.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to the official who represented Vaal West at this event.

A special word of thanks to Neels and Sandra van Niekerk, who accompanied the team to the gala and served as team managers. Your dedication and support are greatly appreciated.
