Middelburg Old Boys - Netball

My dertien-jarige seun het onlangs effens snobisties begin optree. Asof hy te goed is om PEP klere te dra, en of die kinders by sy skool wat tweedehandse klere dra nie goed genoeg is nie.

Ek kon dit nie verdra of laat voortgaan nie. Vandag het ek hom met R200 van sy eie geld na 'n liefdadigheidswinkel geneem om vir hom skoolklere vir die week te koop. Dit wat hy daar kon vind is dit wat hy gaan dra.

Hy is glad nie gelukkig hiermee nie en het selfs 'n paar trane gestort, maar ek weet vir 'n feit hy gaan oor 15 jaar van nou af terug kyk na hierdie dag en lag vir sy ma wat hom by 'n liefdadigheidswinkel laat inkopies doen het.

Ek wil my kinders leer dat geld nie alles is nie, en dat mens nie ander wat minder het as jy afbreek nie. Ek wil ook net noem dat ek persoonlik gaande is oor liefdadigheidswinkels!

Middelburg Old Boys Netball (MOB-netball) was established in September 2018. Middelburg Old Boys is recognized as an institution that provides opportunities for old learners to participate in all the 10’s tournaments, irrespective of individual talents, culture, race or language, and prides itself in offering opportunities to still be active after they leave school.

MOB-netball will host the abovementioned event the 21 August 2021.

Middelburg Old Boys netball’s overall goal for the fundraiser is to get enough funds to assist a local company who was hit hard with COVID-19.

We are confident that we will host a successful event on 21 August 2021 where many players who couldn’t play netball due to the Covid restrictions will now be able to participate. The players are so eager to do anything active because they couldn’t do it during the lockdown.
