MEET THE VENUE | TREVERTON EQUESTRIAN CENTRE

This October, the Treverton Equestrian Centre is proud to welcome the 2026 SA Eventing Championships to Mooi River, KwaZulu-Natal.

Set within Treverton’s 270-hectare campus in the heart of the Midlands, the Equestrian Centre is surrounded by open fields, paddocks and the beautiful KwaZulu-Natal countryside.

But it’s not just the setting that makes Treverton special.

Our Equestrian Centre offers:

32 stables
Large paddocks with grazing, water and shade
Grass jumping arena
Two full-size sand dressage arenas, with sprinklers
lunge ring
A fully maintained cross-country course, with fences from 60cm through to 3-star level
A significant water complex
Ample space for outrides and exploring the surrounding estate

The Centre caters for riders across disciplines including Eventing, Showjumping, Dressage, Equitation and Showing, and regularly hosts training clinics, affiliated competitions and SANESA events.

For us, however, the Equestrian Centre is about more than arenas, fences and facilities.

It is about horses, people and the experiences created around them.

It is early mornings in the saddle, young riders learning to believe in themselves, horses grazing peacefully in the paddocks, competitors walking a course together, and families and friends coming together to support their riders.

It is a place where sport meets community — and where the beautiful Midlands landscape becomes part of the experience.

We are incredibly excited to open our gates and welcome competitors and supporters from across South Africa for three days of championship eventing.

You'll often find them holding horses, calming nervous riders, offering words of encouragement, and lending a helping hand wherever it's needed.

Over midterm break, ,Charys Rudling and her beautiful vaulting horse Caldhames Aragon competed at in the 4th KZN SANESA and graded VASA equestrian vaulting qualifiers.

They both performed beautifully coming away with 4 first places.
