Through to Nationals for Talent Africa. Well done girls!

Dance Academy of South Africa Ballet exams and Medal Dances went very well, with a big thank you to Annette Rothman for taking the videos and producing an expert end result. Girls all danced beautifully and made me very proud. Such a different world- all the preparation for exams but no examiner sitting in the chair!

The Dance Academy of South Africa Major Ballet exams were held in Pretoria at the Dance de'Art Studios on 30 November. Dané Gouws passed Intermediate Foundation with Merit and Kerryn Shapiro and Juanita Pretorius both received Merit passes for Advanced Performance. Well done ladies!

Dancers from Jenny Devenish School of Ballet were in Pretoria on Saturday, 25 November 2017, for their Dance Academy of South Africa Major Ballet Examinations. Congratulations to the following on their excellent results:

Intermediate Foundation Exam
Abigail van Niekerk – Distinction
Jade Pienaar – Merit
Megan Morgenrood – Merit

Advanced 2 Exam
Taryn Harry – Distinction.

At the end year function held at Panarottis, Taryn Harry was awarded the Dancer of the Year trophy for her excellent achievement of 94% for her exam.

Congratulations to Reandie Fick who was awarded the prize for Best Senior Dancer!

GALLERY: The Nutcracker; A Christmas Ballet at Ferrum High School Jenny Devenish school of Ballet hosted its annual Christmas concert at Ferrum High School on December 9 and 10.

As in 2003, our Dancer of the Year 2016 trophy was awarded to the two stars from the Nutcracker, Aldert Brink and Abigail van Niekerk. Congratulations!

Thank you to everyone who came to watch our ballet, we really appreciate your support. To all the dancers, you were brilliant and made teacher Juanrè and I very proud. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
