Mashishimale Blackpool Media Statement.

Football is not war. It is an entertainment. Medupi Tournament e dira dilo tša maemo a fase. It simply lacks dignity. It is a tournament of tricks, divisions, shenanigans, thuggery and endless controversies perpetuated by the sponsors and the host. Squabbling & cheating are the order of things there. All the bad and wrong things are unfortunately linked to the teams owned by the tournament sponsors. Fair play is a foreign concept there. Football tournament is meant to develop and promote football and to entertain our fans. Medupi is doing the opposite. It is a total mess and disappointing. Instead of uniting our local football teams & fans, they are dividing us because the sponsors' clubs must win by all means.

Mashishimale Blackpool, MJM and Celtics have been robbed by teams owned by the tournament sponsors. The manner in which this tournament is run raises serious issues of incapacity, failures and poor management. There's a clear case of lack of credibility, good reputation, high standards and fairness. We have never experienced these unacceptable levels of arrogance, and unprofessional behaviour at Mabele, Baduzah and Shabeni tournaments because they don't host tournaments to benefit themeselves. Before i forget, let me thank Mr Malatji of Mabele, Mr Ngobeni of Baduzah and Mr Shabeni Malungane for not only entertaining football fans, but also for genuinely promoting and developing our local football. Thank you gentlemen. You are the great hosts.

Kua gaMedupi go dirwa mushishika daylight. It is hosted and arranged to favour united, lions and 11 bullets. They have made the rules, but those rules don't apply to Phalaborwa united, lions and 11 bullets. The foundation of a tournament is its rules. Without rules, there is no tournament. What is the point of making rules if we can't follow them?
During our match against 11 bullets, they used players who were part of Phalaborwa lions & united in violation of the tournament rules which prohibits such conduct. We there & then lodged a complaint which was suspiciously dismissed this afternoon despite our overwhelming evidence. Sepedi se re Letsoalo le molato le ae kahlola. The guilty are afraid. Medupi tournament, as the custodian of all the records, deleted all the records of the team sheets of Phalaborwa united, lions & 11 bullets games immediately after we lodged our complaint. All the evidence was there on their official page but they deleted it. The big question is; Why if you are innocent? we will let the public be the Judge. We have lodged our protest on principle with the full knowledge that it will be dismissed as we are not dealing with honest & competent people. We totally don't agree with that ridiculously dubious & laughable decision. It is nonsensical.

We, at mashishimale blackpool, are & stand for discipline, respect and fairness. We are not bad losers and always are gracious in defeat. All soccer loving fans & local teams must expose, condemn and reject with contempt what is happening in that tournament of cheaters. We are not going to be part of that farcical & scandalous tournament in the future. It is boring, unnecessarily prolonged and poorly managed. it is unfortunate that we had to unceremoniously part ways with them in this way.
