🏆⚽ 2025/26 EFA SOCCER AWARDS CEREMONY RECAP ⚽🏆

On Sunday, 16 August 2026, the Edendale Football Association proudly hosted the 2025/26 EFA Soccer Awards Ceremony at the Georgetown Library Activities Room, bringing together clubs, players, administrators, sponsors, and football stakeholders to celebrate another successful season of football in our community.

The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome from the Programme Director, followed by an opening prayer and the National Anthem. Guests were then addressed by Mr Tom Ngcobo, who welcomed attendees and reflected on the growth and achievements of football within the association. The purpose of the day was outlined by Mr Leonard Vilakazi, setting the tone for an afternoon dedicated to recognising excellence, commitment, and sportsmanship.

The seasonal review was presented by Sanele Vilakazi, highlighting the successes, challenges, and milestones achieved throughout the 2025/26 season. The audience was further inspired by an insightful keynote address from the Guest of Honour, who commended the association, its clubs, and its members for their continued contribution to football development in Edendale.

The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the awards presentation, where league champions, runners-up, third-placed teams, cup winners, and individual contributors were honoured for their outstanding achievements. Special recognition awards were also presented to deserving individuals and partners whose dedication and support continue to strengthen football in our communities.
