This was one of my favourite moments from last year’s songwriting workshop at Wild Spirit Festival of Friends.

I had the joy of working with complete songwriting newbies alongside people who already had years of musical experience, and watching everyone find their way into the process was magical! ✨

In under two hours, people who had never met before were writing together, experimenting, laughing, sharing ideas and creating songs from scratch. 🎶

And that’s what I love about co-writing. You don’t need to be a musician. You don’t need to know how to write a song. You don’t even need to think of yourself as an artist…

You just need to allow your curiosity to lead you, have a little sprinkle of courage and to be ready to play!

I’m coming back to Wild Spirit Festival of Friends 2026 to run another songwriting workshop, and I’m so excited to hear all the beautiful co-creations!

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately…

Because so many people who come to me initially want to work with me 1:1.

And I completely understand why.

But when I look at my own biggest breakthroughs, and the transformations I’ve witnessed in the spaces I facilitate, I keep coming back to the power of being in a group.

There’s something that happens when you realise:

✨ you’re not alone in your journey
✨ someone else’s breakthrough gives you permission for your own
✨ you get to witness yourself through other people
✨ your challenges become something you can explore together
✨ and you have people alongside you who are actually doing the work as inspiration

And though I too would at first glance feel 1:1 is better, if I really think about it some of the most transformational spaces I’ve ever been part of have been group spaces.

So now I’m curious about your experience.

I never take for granted the trust my clients place in me. It is an honour to walk alongside such courageous humans as they reclaim their voice, creativity and authentic expression.

You know I’m always one for a good sing-along. 😜

Singing together and releasing our love, frustrations, everything is what reminds us we are one. - And in the greater scheme of things, even if we’re all just wondering what the hell is going on together, there is hope in feeling seen, like even if we don’t have the answers at least we know we are not alone in it all. 🥹🫂

Come and join me tonight at the lovely where my dear friend and I started off the music there almost 20 years ago in exchange for surf lessons!

He has provided a hub for musicians to play and share original music in this tiny town of plett and I am truly grateful for his legendary good vibes. 😎

See you 7-10pm for some originals and some original crowd pleasers where we can let it all out together! ✨
